Core Process Psychotherapy

In essence the work I do is embodied awareness. People come to me for many reasons. At the root is the experience of suffering with its many faces; trauma, addictions, anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, pain, phobias and sexuality. This work is also helpful for moments of transition, connecting to more creativity, living with meaning and purpose, exploring the nature of self from a non dual perspective.

It seems easier to fix, run from, numb or suppress discomfort in its myriad of guises; sensations, thoughts, feelings. Unexplored, discomfort and limiting patterns unconsciously express themselves in our lives, influencing our choices, relationships, affect our health and engagement in life.

During sessions, awareness, curiosity and compassion is brought to layers of ‘suffering’ and what appears to keep you locked in limitation and negativity.  As we bring awareness to these layers, what may have felt disconnected, isolated, or unbearable becomes naturally liberated. It may be seen that we are not these limiting patterns.

Our essential nature is ‘innate wholeness’. This ‘wholeness’ is never lost, and yet may be seemingly obscured by self-limiting belief systems. The work acknowledges and reorients to this essence. Through this innate welcoming, inner conflicts and beliefs in the mind can cease, tensions in the body can begin to naturally unravel, the nervous system can relax.

Transformation naturally occurs as this process opens new ways of being, seeing, relating and to the flow of new possibilities and life.  Fluctuating life circumstances can be met and responded to with greater ease, freedom and confidence. Your unique expression of ‘joyous being’ in life becomes possible.

Shift from limiting, conditioned self to a deeper ground of being; openness, peace, and freedom in life

Working together

Introductory session

We can arrange a free of charge introductory session which last up to 45 minutes. This is an opportunity to meet and see how it could be working together. You can share your intentions for considering psychotherapy, any concerns and questions you may have. There is no obligation to continue and anything you have shared with me will be held in the strictest confidence.

Sessions

If we decide to continue, we arrange a regular time to meet each week. I offer a safe, supportive space that welcomes all that you are and all that you bring to each session. Together we explore the nature of your concerns, and discover the capacity for healing.  The process is open ended and we review every 6 weeks. One to one sessions are currently offered online. Sessions are conducted weekly or fortnightly with each session lasting 1 hour.

6 session Programme

I also offer a 6 week programme. These sessions are also an hour and incorporate Core Process Psychotherapy, movement, breath, meditation and embodied enquiry. You will receive a review of each session plus practices and tools that you can use and practice at home to facilitate integration of the process and aid in daily life.

We will begin from where you are and establish a realignment to the felt experience of ‘wholeness’, your true nature. We will connect to the heart and to what truly matters,  developing ways to align daily choices with your truth and heart felt desires.

Through the weeks we will bring awareness to layers of conditioning that seemingly obscure your sense of peace and living from the heart, wholeness and fulfilment. We will incorporate means to continuously realign to ‘wholeness’, especially in times of difficulty and uncertainty.

We will create space and develop means for meeting and transforming core beliefs, tensions in the body and conditioning. Deepening awareness of unconscious patterns, we will break the cycle of negativity that appears to veil your heart and true expression in life.

These options can be discussed on the initial, introductory call.

‘If wholeness is already present, not some distant goal, healing manifests once there is awareness of that which is already healed. A paradox when seen from this perspective’.
